Bend + Breathe

Our mindful birth workshop offers empowering, yet practical tools to give you confidence going into your birth. Using our training as yoga and hypnobirthing instructors, we aim to give you an ‘essentials kit’ that can be used before, during and after birth.

 

As midwives we see the benefit that both yoga and hypnobirthing can bring and recognise that both of these practices are relevant to all pregnancies and every type of birth, regardless of how or where you have your baby. This unique midwife-led workshop offers the chance to learn and practice some fundamental yoga and hypnobirthing techniques that will set you up for success on your birthing day. As with all our classes, our active birth workshop is relaxed and comfortable and all are welcome.

The Details

Bend+Breathe is included if you are joining us for a Gather weekend - you will be registered for the evening workshop after attending your antenatal classes. If you do not wish to attend the active birth class, please let us know. If you cannot attend then you can choose another evening session if it works for you.

 

Bend+Breathe is also an excellent refresher for those who have already had a baby. If you are looking for some guidance on movement and breathing for birth as well as comfort tools and tips for birth partners, this is the class for you!

Our two hour workshop includes:

  • Hands on tips for birth partners

  • Practical advice for coping at home

  • Movement for labour and birth

  • Breathing exercises for labour

  • Writing birth affirmations

  • Relaxation scripts and how to use them
