Why People Recommend Us to Friends

If you are expecting a baby or have just become a parent, congratulations! When we were expecting our own babies, we realised how important the right guidance could be. We needed kind, calm and nurturing support. We wanted to be surrounded by women that could build us up and could offer reliable and trustworthy advice and wisdom. After becoming mothers, we wanted to offer this kind of support for new and expecting families not only as practicing midwives, but also in our antenatal classes, active birth workshops and support postnatally.

We feel so honoured to be able to guide and support new families and parents-to-be. Time and again people tell us that our classes were recommended to them by friends or family who have previously attended our sessions. People who tell us that, 'the sessions were supportive and empowering' or ‘we left feeling much more informed and confident about becoming parents’.

Our classes are relaxed, friendly, and evidence-based, giving you expert knowledge, confidence, and the chance to meet other local parents in a warm, supportive environment.

Midwife-Led Antenatal Classes

All of our sessions are led by experienced and practicing midwives, who are also mums themselves. We understand exactly what you’re going through and aim to combine our professional expertise with real-life experience to support you every step of the way.

Our antenatal classes in Edinburgh have earned over 100 five-star reviews on Google, with parents describing them as informative, relaxed, and fun. You’ll learn about labour, birth options, pain relief, feeding, and life with a newborn. There is plenty of time for questions and socialising too.

Social and Supportive

Learning about birth and early parenthood can feel a little daunting. All of our classes, whether it’s first aid or antenatal classes, are designed to encourage connection, giving you the opportunity to meet other expectant couples, share experiences, and build lasting friendships. Our venues are calm, cosy, and conveniently located around Edinburgh, making it easy for you to feel at home as you prepare for your baby’s arrival. There are also plenty of opportunities for a blether over a warm cup of tea.

Active Birth Workshops in Edinburgh

Our Active Birth Workshops are perfect for parents who want to take a hands-on approach to preparing for labour. You’ll learn how movement, positioning, and breathing techniques can help labour progress naturally and make birth more positive and empowering.

Whilst we are midwives and mums, we are also trained in pregnancy yoga (Hailey) and hypnobirthing (Hannah) and these workshops combine professional insight with practical, down-to-earth advice you can use on the day.

Postnatal Support: Mummy MOT & Breastfeeding Guidance in Edinburgh

Your recovery matters too. That’s why we offer Mummy MOT assessments in Edinburgh, a specialist postnatal check that focuses on your physical wellbeing, core strength, and pelvic floor recovery. It’s a safe space to ask questions and ensure your body is healing well after birth. We also provide breastfeeding support at home too. An opportunity to chat through breastfeeding and trouble shoot any issues you might be having with someone who really gets it!

Why Edinburgh Parents Recommend Us to Their Friends

We’re proud that so many of our families tell their friends about our classes. It is always such a joy to hear from our couples that a friend or family member recommended they come to our classes. We really want people to feel supported, and love seeing the genuine connections that are made on our classes as well as making sure all our information is reliable, informative and super honest! Parents continually tell us how relaxed, informed and ready for parenthood they feel after our sessions. And that means so much!
